Some links on AwardEscape are affiliate links. When one is, we may earn a commission if you:

• book a cash stay on marriott.com after following one of our “Book direct with Marriott” links
• are approved for a credit card after following one of our card links

You pay the same price either way. Booking with points earns us nothing.

What it never changes

Every rating on AwardEscape comes from the same scoring for every hotel: what the stay costs in points against what it costs in cash, and how that compares with the hotel’s usual prices. A commission can’t move a stay up or down. When points are poor value, we say “Pay cash”, even though a points booking would earn us nothing and a cash booking might.
